Poker Pursuit Basics
When you play Poker Pursuit, you start with three cards. Check out your hand and then before you ask for another card, decide whether you want to increase your bet. You can either raise your bet by one coin or just call for a fourth card. Again, you have the opportunity to raise or call before getting a final fifth card, just like in real poker. This is where a real money strategy should come in to play. You see, unlike most video poker games, when you play Poker Pursuit you have to be thinking all the time whether the odds favor you increasing your bet.
Poker Pursuit Strategies
So you need to pay close attention to your initial three cards if you are going to attempt to maximize your real money poker potential. Poker Pursuit gives you all the time you need to decide whether your hand is heading for a win or a fold. So decide what your personal strategy is. For example, most people would decide that getting a pair in those first three cards makes it a winning hand. In that case, up your bet before the fourth and fifth cards. Instead of winning even money, a three of a kind (or even four) could multiply your Poker Pursuit winnings. That is what sets this game apart.
Poker Pursuit in the Poker World
Poker Pursuit belongs to the 5-card draw family of poker games. This is not Texas Hold 'em or Stud. The main difference is that in Poker Pursuit, winnings hands are judged to be those with at least pairs starting with tens or better. Of course, three of a kind - even three twos - is a winner. Keep in mind though, in Poker Pursuit there are no wild cards. You need the actual cards in your hand to win. But that gives this real money game a more serious style. Also, remember that in Poker Pursuit the maximum payout is 3,000 coins. You can only get that if you are betting the maximum and hitting a Royal Flush. (Royal Flush pays out at 1,000 coins for every one bet. If you raised in both round for a total of three coins, you get 3,000 to 1 odds).
How to Start Playing Poker Pursuit
At the beginning of every deal in Poker Pursuit, place your initial bet by clicking the "Plus" or "Minus" button to choose the coin size you want to use. Then just hit "Deal." It's that easy. Almost immediately you will see your first three cards. Now is the time that you need to decide whether to raise your bet or just call for another card. You do so by hitting the "Raise" button or the "Call" button.
