3 Card Poker: The Mechanics of a Great Game

3 card poker, as mentioned above, is both fast paced and easily understood. That said, there are several aspects to the game that are important to bear in mind. The most notable aspect of Real money three card poker is the obvious; that each player is dealt a three card hand. The second aspect is that it is really two card games in one; the Pair Plus game and the Ante/Play game. Each of these games can be played separately or together within the game of three card poker. Pair Plus is simply an additional side bet made by the player to see if he will be dealt a pair or higher, the ante is the first bet on the three cards that are dealt to the player. In order for the game to begin, the player needs to place his Ante and Pair Plus bet. Of course the player can choose to only place a Pair Plus bet or an Ante bet, not necessarily both. The bet is placed by clicking on the increase and decrease buttons on the side of the screen and clicking in the relevant space for the bet. An Ante bet must be placed before cards are dealt if the Ante/Play part of 3 card poker is being played. Once the bets have been placed the cards are dealt; face up to the player and face down to the dealer. The player sees if he has any pairs or better which will help him achieve his Pair Plus bet if he made one. If the player has a pair or better, he is paid out his winnings according to the payout schedule. If the player has also placed an Ante bet he now has to decide if he wants to fold and automatically lose his Ante bet or to keep playing. If the player decides to play it, he presses the play button and another bet is placed, equivalent to his Ante bet. The dealer then shows his cards. The dealer needs a queen high combination or better in order to qualify for the game. If the dealer does not qualify for the game then the player is paid his Play bet and double the Ante bet, regardless of the hand that he has. The key to grasping this game is to simply play it; it's a lot easier than it sounds and intriguing enough to keep you coming back for more.
