Cyberstud + Poker = Cyberstud Poker
The word cyberstud commands associations that might not exactly be family-friendly. Hobbies and leisure time activities, however, are all about non-reality-based fantasies and thus, perhaps it can be said that Cyberstud Poker may carry with it for certain players…certain associations. Everyone needs to escape the pressures of everyday life somehow and perhaps for some players, playing Cyberstud Poker helps them to feel stronger, more competent and more in command of their everyday life…and this is never a bad thing. It is just a game, after all.
In Cyberstud Poker, the player offers an ante bet before any cards are even dealt. After making the wager, the player is dealt a hand of five cards, while the dealer receives one card, face-up. Based on his or her hand and the dealer's card, the player then has to decide whether to bet more money or to get out of the game right then and there. If the player chooses to call, the dealer then receives a further four cards. The player and the dealer then compare hands and if the dealer's hand does not contain an ace-king pair or higher, then the player receives double his or her bet back. No wonder the game is called Cyberstud Poker; it's a high-stakes game with a few simple rules and if the player wins the round, he or she receives does more than break even. And that's the best part: that the money won back by the player (times 2) is real money. It is a casino game, after all.
If the dealer does qualify, and the player still wins, there is a payout table that applies to Cyberstud Poker. In Cyberstud Poker, a royal flush pays out 999 to 1. An ace/king pair pays out 1 to 1, as does a two pair. A three of a kind hand pays 2 to 1, a straight pays out 5 to 1, a flush pays 9 to 1, a full house pays 14 to 1, while four of a kind pays 99 to 1 and a straight flush pays 199 to 1.
Cyberstud Poker for Real Money
The most exciting form of online Cyberstud Poker is progressive Cyberstud Poker. The advantage of a progressive game is, of course, that every player participating in the game at any one online casino - or any of a number of online casinos whose interfaces are networked together for this purpose - will add to the jackpot with every hand that they play. Thus, the more you (and others) play, the more the jackpot continues to rise. And as is the case in a real money game, the winner thus is one lucky person.
Though you cannot control the cards that are dealt to you, most experts agree that there are a few simple strategies to follow to maximize one's gaming returns. Those strategies are as follows:
If you have a pair or better, call.
If you have less than a combination of an ace and a king, fold.
If you do have an ace and a king, there is some dispute as to what is best to do. Most agree that it is beneficial to call if the dealer's face-up card is not an ace or a king and/or the dealer's face-up card matches one of the player's cards.
